The Beach

We find that children love to make the most of our unique beachside location. With plenty of fresh air and exciting water-sports available to book with our Concierge – they never get bored. We provide snorkels and flippers for all our guests. This leaves you fully equipped to explore the underwater treasures our crystal-clear waters have to offer.
The Sea Turtles
The Lone Star, Barbados also happens to be the best location for swimming with sea turtles. These majestic creatures are found to gather in the ocean not too far offshore from our restaurant. Despite the popularity of this activity, you’ll find the waters are peaceful and uncrowded. Stronger swimmers could make the trip themselves. Yet for families we recommend a catamaran cruise, which will allow you take in the sights of the island with a stop off to join the turtles in the water at your leisure.
The Little Explorer
For those families who want to get out to one of the many coves and beauty spots the Barbados shoreline has to offer, you’ll find family friendly beaches within easy travelling distance of Mount Steadfast. Choose a beach with stunning reefs and calm waters to keep young explorers safe and entertained. Batts Rock is ideal, around 15 minutes down the coast from The Lone Star. It fully equipped for families, with lifeguards, showers and a playground. It’s a fabulous location to soak up the sun.
The Wildlife
Other activities you and your family to enjoy on your luxury family holiday in Barbados are the Children’s Gallery at the Barbados museum. This has interactive exhibits suitable for all ages. The Barbados Wildlife reserve is another family favourite with peacocks, flamingos, monkeys and armadillos among the creatures you can observe.
